This is Photoclicker’s first time attending the Chingay event in Johor Bahru on 6th March 2010. It is a massive and colorful event, celebrating the celebrating the 5 deities who are worshiped by the five major clans ( Hakka, Teochew, Hokkien, Cantonese, Hainanese), come together every year at “Rou Fuo Gu Miao” one of the oldest temple in Johor Bahru, to celebrate the lunar new year. The event is enlightened with performances, songs, lion dances, etc.
At 7 pm, the deities are parade around the town of Johor Bahru and ends around 1 am.
